Hello all,
Our next meeting will take place on Wednesday 9th September. The meeting will take place in our usual spot of the Wood Quay Venue, in Dublin City Council offices. As always there will be Tea, Coffee and Sandwiches available from 6.45pm with the meeting beginning at 7pm sharp.
To facilitate the set up of the venue, can you advise us if you are planning to attend.
If you need directions, they are available here .
The meeting will be addressed by David Timoney. David will make a short presentation with regard to initiatives being taken to tackle bicycle theft in Dublin. David has taken the lead in establishing a Bike Theft Group which comprises representatives from Gardai, National Transport Authority, Dublin City Council, Cycle Shops, Cycle Websites and now the Apartment Owners Network.
Underground car parks have been identified as a major black spot with regard to bicycle theft. The Group hopes to establish some guidelines and/or minimum planning standards with regard to bicycle storage provision in apartment blocks. Feedback from AON members will inform this process and hopefully result in a nationwide improvement in bicycle theft figures.
As normal there will be an opportunity to raise questions after the address by David. If you have any questions that you would like answered or assistance with please send them to us before Wednesday. They can be on any owner management company issue.
