February meeting – Introducing the MUD Legislation

Published on: Feb 4, 2011

With the enactment of the MUD bill into law last month, it seems only fair to introduce you to the man who made it all happen – Seamus Carroll. Not many of you know will know Seamus – he works for the Civil Law Reform Division of the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform.

He worked tirelessly for three years to bring the legislation to the Dail. His days were filled with constant (and sometimes frank) meetings between us, the developers, the architects association, the banks, TDs and Ministers, the drafters who wrote the legislation and the Attorney General who made sure it was all above board. There’s undoubtedly no better person to tell you all about it and answer any questions you have.

To meet Seamus, you’ll have to come along to our February meeting which will take place on Thursday 10th February at 7pm in our usual haunt, the Dublin City Council building on Wood Quay.
