Some good news for apartment complex residents – clamping regulation is on the way. We’ve been involved in the consultation process and much of what we suggested has been included. According to an article in todays Journal, the changes are likely to include:
* licensed and registered clamping companies
* licensed and Garda vetted clamping staff
* a national regulator with defined appeals process
* declamp charges regulated by local authorities
* standardised signs, training and regulations
* mandatory code of practice
* maximum release time
* a graduated release fee based on the severity of the infringement
* a ban on using premium phone numbers
