AON – Next Meeting 28 June / Next Steps for AON

Hello All,

As many of you know Deirdre has now stepped down as Chairperson of the Network and we’re currently undergoing a process of change in relation to how the Network is structured, how it is proposed to operate into the future and it’s overall objectives going forward.

At the AON meeting of 11 May 2016 it was discussed in detail and agreed in principle to proceed with formalisation of the AON into a full time professional representative organisation.
Since the May meeting we have made progress on several fronts.  The purpose of the next meeting on Tuesday 28 June is to outline that progress and agree next steps.  We will be in our usual meeting spot of the Wood Quay Venue, Dublin City Council. The usual AON discussion forum will also take place, as May’s meeting did not allow time.
1. Discuss & Agree documents circulated:  Proposal Document  /  Reasons Why / Proposed Functions / Proposed Structure / Membership benefits  / Draft constitution (Memos & Arts of Association)
2. Agree decision to proceed with Company Limited by Guarantee having charitable status (see Constitution in pack) and receive initial members from AON
3. Report on developments since last meeting
4. Time for usual AON discussions/queries

As always there will be Tea, Coffee and Sandwiches available from 6.45pm with the meeting beginning  at 7pm sharp.

To facilitate the set up of the venue, Please let us know if you plan to attend the June meeting.

If you need directions to the meeting venue, they are available here .

Other important news……

AON Website:

We’ve had some serious technical issues with our old website as a result of which the old apartmentowners.ie website is now defunct and no longer accessible. If you’re reading this post then congratulations on already finding us in our new online home.

Please make sure to bookmark us so you can find us again ( New Apartment Owners Network Website )

New Mailing List / Subscription System:

In an effort to automate and simplify how people are added to the mailing list, and how we collect information about the developments being lived in, which AON represents we have developed a new mailing list / subscription system.

We would would ask everyone who was on the old mailing list to please take a few minutes to subscribe to the new system and fill in the requested details for your property, development, OMC etc.

The information requested on the new subscription form will be very important for the efforts of the Network going forward, and if we are to pursue our goal of having an impact on the future of Multi Unit Development living operates in Ireland, Housing Policy, How Management Co’s operate etc.

The new subscription system is accessible at the link below. As part of the subscription process you will receive two emails. The first asks you to confirm your subscription request, the second will be a record for yourself of the details you submitted when subscribing

AON Mailing list / Subscription Form

Hoping to see a good turnout and a good discussion on how we progress with taking AON onwards into the future.

P.S Please bear with us while we try to iron out the various IT gremlins and Technical hitches over the next few weeks in our efforts to set up our new Website / Email / Mailing List systems.

Regards,
AON
