Hello all,
Our next meeting will take place at 7.30pm on Tuesday 17 October.
*** Please note the change of location, and later start time of 7.30pm ***
On foot of demand from members, this month we are away from Dublin city centre. Our venue is the Atrium, Fingal County Hall, Main Street, Swords. We are grateful to Fingal County Council for the location.
In order to help plan the meeting, please ensure to let us know of your intention to attend. You can do this by completing our “Meeting Attendance” form.
Paul Mooney will present to us on Management Agent tendering. We have received many requests for a presentation on this topic. We expect great interest from members on this important issue.
Paul Mooney is the Managing Director of Benchmark Property, one of the leading independent property management and building consultants in Ireland. Paul is a Chartered Surveyor specialising in Property Management for over 20 years. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland.
Paul has worked with industry bodies over a number of years in promoting professionalism in the Property Management Sector. He engaged with the Department of Justice on drafting of the Multi-Unit Developments Act 2011 and the Property Services Regulatory Act 2011.
Paul has delivered many CPD talks on the sector and regulation, lectures in residential property management, and is a regular contributor to the Property Clinic section of the Irish Times Property Supplement. He is a member of the Property & Facility Managers Professional Group of the SCSI and sits on the editorial board of the Surveyors Journal. In 2011 Paul was appointed by the Minister for Justice to the Property Services Board.
We will update on our work since September, and plans for the remainder of 2017. Our usual open forum will conclude the meeting.
